Personally, I thought the presentation was alright. However, there were some spots that felt a bit filled with exposition, if that makes sense. That is, it was more of a general synopsis of what happened as opposed to what he influenced. Nevertheless, though, I enjoyed it.

  2. I was surprised you thought he was a positive influence. I wouldn't have initially thought that. I didn't watch his shows but from what I have heard in the past is that he was crazy and dout of his mind in the things he did and I remeber people talking about his death and how is was because of a show he was shooting and for a mans death to occur because he was out doing his job is such a sad thing. It shouldn't have happened. Overall you both spoke well and had real solid points. You spoke great for off the top of your head!

  3. Good presentation, explained and supported yourselves very well. I learned a lot from this presentation since I knew very little about him before this. Some constructive criticism would be to try to stand still more and not move back and forth as much while you're speaking to the audience.

  4. It's completely true that he is reckless with animals. It almost reminds me of a National Geographic version of Jackass with Steve-O. I would just check the credibility of the stingray stabbing him 100 times because I had thought it was only once.

  5. the first quote was very good and you tied it into what you were talking very well. it was a good presentation. but i don't think he is a positive influence cause he is showing kids that doing reckless things that could risk their lives is okay and i would not want my son to do that at all, but that was his passion so i guess no one could stop him and that is a positive influence, kids need to do what what makes them happy.

  6. One of the perfect thesis statement that perfectly supported your conclusion was from you guys!!! You had a nice coordination also. As far as Steve Irwin I learned a lot about him, He is probably the most influential person to spread about love for animals, I also liked the voice of you guys.
However, as far as constructive criticism comes I never knew about him until this day, so you could have shown us some videos of how he hunts people, that's the only thing that I have to say. Best presentation in the class- Great Work!!!

  7. As someone who has watched his show before his untimely death, I agreed with your points on how he was both a positive yet negative influence due to his antics. I think if he changed his attempts at explaining the different creatures, instead of harassing them, he would have been a much more positive influence overall.

The negative aspect to your presentation would be not having some film footage to show how crazy, yet kind, he was. I think it would have given our class a better view of his character since he was so animated during his wild adventures.

  8. I like the quote you choose at the start of your project. I didn't know that he was a negative influence. I liked your slides the pictures really made you think he was there. I think you guys needed more proof on your topic sentences. I think if you tired more practice it would have been more smooth. I think your hand out could have been more creative.
